The award-winning Hyundai Genesis sedan segment continues its leadership with exterior styling enhancements, the new direct injection technology for its Lambda V6, the new eight-speed automatic, and improved chassis tuning. NEW R-Spec 5.0: The most powerful V8 ever HYUNDAI
The heart of the Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec is a new V8 engine of 429 horsepower at 6400 rpm produces Tau and 376 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. The 5.0-liter cylinder bore was increased from 92 mm to 96 mm above the bar of 4.6 liters for a total displacement of 5.0 liters (5038 cc). This system of high pressure direct injection (over 2200 psi), greatly increases the power and torque while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Compression ratio increased from 10.4 to 11.5:1 for superior thermal efficiency and output. Tau 5.0-liter V8 is a new house with eight-speed transmission. Hyundai has developed this new report adds two more transmission improves acceleration, shifting smoothness and efficiency of the transmission of more than six percent in the first six-speed transmission. All eight marches include SHIFTRONIC ® feature a manual gearbox. This new eight-speed transmission is the first offered by a manufacturer of non-luxury brands.

R-Spec will sport a unique design alloy wheels 19 inches with a high quality finish and machined optional Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 summer performance tires. Calibration Management R-Spec was adapted to the single wheel and tire combination for improved performance and conduct expectations of refinement in this segment. To complete the overall performance, the front brake rotors increased from 13.0 inches to 13.6 inches above the 2011 4.6 model.
In addition, more aggressive styling cues from Genesis all the 2012 models, the R-Spec headlights offer a unique dark chrome inserts in front of more distinctive appearance. R-Spec trim has been added to the shelf label, and the black R Spec embroidered floor mats on a daily basis to remind the driver performance, which is expected at the wheel. Hyundai Genesis Spec-R offered sports-oriented in only three exterior colors: Black Noir, metallic titanium and platinum, each with black leather seats and all-black leather-wrapped sport differential aspect of the model 4.6.
DIRECT INJECTION Lambda 3.8-liter engine
In line with its 5.0-liter V8 sibling, the Hyundai Genesis 3.8-liter Lambda engine will receive a direct injection (GDI) technology to increase production of 15 percent from 290 to 333 horsepower, an impressive gain of 43 horsepower without increasing displacement. In addition, increasing peak torque from 264 lb.-ft. to 291 lb.-ft., up from 27 lb.-ft. generous in the same 3.8 liter. Compression ratio 10.4:1 11.5:1 increases the thermal efficiency. Hyundai Genesis 3.8 models now have a large 13.0-inch front rotors, calipers with four pistons, while the 4.6 and 5.0 models feature a 13.6-inch rotors front oversized.
